Oast Farm
This rural scheme draws inspiration from traditional farmsteads to create a sensitive, characterful development. Comprising varied dwelling types around a central courtyard, the layout reflects the hierarchy and charm of historic agricultural clusters. Long views extend towards neighbouring fields and a proposed community orchard, enhancing the site’s connection to its landscape. The design reduces overall volume and GIA compared to the previously approved scheme, improving its impact on the Green Belt. A contemporary interpretation of the rural barn informs the architecture, with black timber weatherboarding, brick, clay tiles and slate echoing the local vernacular.
